Title: Catering Prep

Hours: Part-Time (~20 hours a week)
Compensation: $25/hr

Team

This position joins a street team of baristas and managers. The team creates joyful experiences, engages customers and delivers excellent service in the shops and at companies, events, and organizations all over the Bay Area. They take precise orders and make quality drinks, keep the shops and all equipment clean and organized, and support the overall growth of the company.

Role

Catering Prep reports to the Store Manager, with dotted-line responsibilities to the Project Manager. This is an hourly position, with opportunities for advancement and increases. The role prepares large batch coffee and specialty lattes, as well as all accompanying materials, for catering events, ensuring that the team has everything they need to fulfill customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Processing:

• Receive and review catering orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Coordinate with the Cupertino Store Manager to confirm order details and timelines.

• Process orders for a variety of items, including coffee, lattes, pastries, waffles, breakfast items, and other requested items.

  Preparation and Production:

• Prepare coffee beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty lattes.

• Assemble and prepare food items such as pastries, waffles, and breakfast items.

• Ensure all food and beverage items are prepared to the highest quality standards.

  Material Gathering and Event Preparation:

• Gather all necessary materials for catering orders, including cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other related items.

• Prepare and maintain the events back area, ensuring it is organized and well-stocked.

• Pack and load catering orders for easy and efficient pick-up by clients.

  Quality Control and Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the catering preparation area.

• Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and report any maintenance needs.

• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any client questions or concerns.

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of catering orders.

• Occasionally attend and support catering events.

Requirements

• A current Food Handlers certificate

• Able to work up to three consecutive hours on your feet

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (often 50+ lbs)
