Team

This position joins a team of baristas, shift leads, and managers. The team creates joyful experiences, engages customers and delivers excellent service, takes precise orders and makes quality drinks, keeps the shops and all equipment clean and organized, and supports the overall growth of the company.

Role

The Shift Lead reports to the Assistant Store Manager and/or Store Manager. This is a full-time, hourly position plus tips, with opportunities for advancement and increases.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain energy, flow, cleanliness, and Nirvana Soul standards throughout your entire shift

• Count inventory and process deliveries, including milks, syrups, and other packages

• Delegate and work efficiently with baristas during your shifts to execute all daily tasks

• Check and respond to internal communications at the start of each shift, including schedule changes, catering orders, and private event setup

• Train baristas and reinforce training from managers and other leads on bar, register, menu items, equipment handling, and customer engagement

• Make and serve delicious drinks, waffles, and pastries, including for events

• Deliver personable and memorable customer service to all guests and vendors

• Communicate with other shift leads, managers, and teammates directly and respectfully

• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Requirements

• A current Food Handlers certificate

• Able to work up to three consecutive hours on your feet
